The Sock Sandwich Class: Perfecting Your Top and Bottom Edges
This class focuses on sock cast ons & bind offs.

A great sock is more than just beautiful stitches—it’s all about engineering the perfect fit from start to finish! In this class, we’re zooming out to look at the big picture of sock architecture.
Cuff-Down vs. Toe-Up. We'll weigh the benefits of both directions so you can confidently choose the right construction for the amount of yarn you have, your pattern goals, and your feet.
PREREQUISITES:
- You must know how to knit in the round on magic loop
Required items:
- 32" US 1 Needle (or needle size you usually use for socks)
- yarn scissors
- darning needle
- fingering weight yarn (to cast on both a toe up sock and a cuff down sock)
Class:
We will cast on both a cuff down sock and a toe up sock, discuss the benefits of each type of construction , and go over the bind offs needed for both.
